Companies that have Implemented ERP Systems

Hi guys welcome back to my blog. In this week’s post I am going to talk about some businesses that use Enterprise applications successfully in their company.

From the people managing people website companies employ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems to manage, adapt, and automate labor intensive daily operations of the organizations.

The well-known company Amazon uses system analysis and program development (SAP) ERP software. Five former IBM employees found SAP in Germany in 1972 with the goal of integrating all business and data processing through software in real-time. The company-built applications for inventory control, billing confirmation and financial management. Amazons’ strategy is unrelenting customer focus, ongoing innovation, operational excellence, and capacity for long-term thinking. SAP helps support Amazon’s business strategy by helping to managing their finances, logistical business’s needs, sales, human resources, and order management all through just one database.

The next company I am going to talk to you about is Toyota. Toyota’s head company sought to broaden its customer base to provide high-quality services including more accurate operational management, a paperless system, shorter workdays, and more productivity. Toyota chose the ERP system known as Microsoft Dynamics 365 for the job. This system assists distributors that provide services for their products to consumers around the world to manage their after-sales service capabilities and operations. By using Dynamic Toyota can view their budgetary details, sales opportunities, and timelines again all through the one database.

Zoom uses the ERP system Oracle to help them contribute to their business strategy which involves a freemium model where the main features are free of charge but only for the first 40 minutes of your call where you can meet 1 to 100 people. Due to its benefits of performance, scalability, dependability, and improved cloud security, Zoom chose Oracle cloud infrastructure. By using off-box network virtualization in a novel way, Oracle has eliminated the “hypervisor tax” that plagues first-generation clouds. The CEO of Zoom-Eric S. Yuan has issued the following statement since they implemented Oracle in the business “We recently experienced the most significant growth our business has ever seen, requiring massive increases in our service capacity. We explored multiple platforms, and Oracle Cloud infrastructure was instrumental in helping us quickly scale our capacity and meet the needs of our new users.” Already, Zoom is moving upwards of seven petabytes (1015 bytes) per day over Oracle Cloud Infrastructure servers, which is roughly equivalent to the capacity required to stream HD video for 93 years in a year.

As we can see ERP systems are getting bigger for businesses and some provide great benefits for the organization. I believe that ERP systems will eventually be a part of all businesses in the next few years as technology is growing rapidly.

Please let me know what you are thinking of my blog so far and if there is anything in particular you would like to talk about next week.

Thank you,
Rachel
